the tank to begin with. If there's a leak, it's small/slow and it's

If the tank is close to the house, the liquid could be getting to the
perimeter drain of the house and going to the sump pump, if you have
one. If you don'thave a sump, nevermid. :-)

The dye will show up in your sump if that is the case. The dye will
not harm anything, you jsut dump about a tablespoon of it down a drain
or toilet, it is cheap, if not free, and will show results no matter
where the leak is, unless it is leaching into bedrock or a sand
pocket. Call any septic tank people and ask them if the dye should be
used if you think there is a leak. I am betting they say to use it.
