I have one ( Mathmos) and the cap to bottle and the base to bottle
appear to have been glued together at some point but the "glue" has
now hardened and failed so it's a bit unstable . You need to be able

Off original post, but suggest that you stock up on the appropriate tungsten
lamps when you fix it, as I don't think it will perform with a compact
fluorescent...
