It's even older than that! I have a polished aluminum B&D from the early 1960's
that's the same DW610-type router. Only 6A, though. They've been around since
the '50s.

The ELU is the plunge router.

If you are talking about the WD 610 DeWalt that has the rack and pinion
design for adjusting the depth of cut, that is an old B&D design. I have an
old B&D gray router that I bought in 1974 that is identical to it except for
color and HP. The DW625 plunge router looked like the old Elu.
