Oh i'm sure there are, but let's face it, usenet harbours some of the real
dregs.

might be better from that point of view but usually lacking in other ways.
I also hate the layout of them - usenet is so much easier.

I find some of the message boards better to be honest.

A better way might be to get a newsreader with easily used killfiles and
filters.

Well i've been killfiling in some of the groups I use and ended up
unsubscribing when I realised there was little left.
This group is good, long may it stay that way but it is the last one I am
now subscribing to.
