Default Rockwell Uniplane -- was Walker Turner disk sander

Looks like the big brother to the microplane system they have for
drill presses now.

Walker Turner disk sander??

Found a better picture of the Rockwell Uniplane... seems it is an
alternative to a jointer.

I have seen some old iron in my time. But that thing is a new one on me.

I looks a little like an industrial version of a meat cutter for a deli.

I would be very uncomfortable getting my hand too close to that blade when
it was running.

Funny, I thought meat slicer the first time I saw it too! Initially thinking
it had similar functionality, I couldn't figure out how the veneer would
exit in one piece due to the small diameter. ;~)
