Default How are IC's Labeled?

The standard reference designator for integrated circuits is "U" -
anything else is wrong! ( IMHO :-) )


It's certainly non-standard. I suppose you could make up your own
letters to represent the elements in a chemistry reaction, on the
theory that things like Sn and Pb are illogical.

But it would be tricky to get that published.
