Sheesh. How do you get any lower cost than drywall? If you can't afford
that, I'm surprised you could buy acreage in any habitable part of the
planet.

Ever hear of Sheriff's auctions? * Good buys out there if you do
your research. *It's more than acreage, it has a good well and
septic system, major bucks around here.

And the issue is more than low cost. *Looking for material I can
handle as an OF with a bum back. *The reason I posted here
is that I know a lot of folks with a lot of experience read here and
I might *just* pick some little jewels of *ideas*, K?

Leeroy-

How about a radiant barrier over the wall cavity insualtion (cross
ways to the wall studs)

Foil faced paper (like used in old tilt ups in SoCal years
aog.....looks like the industry has moved on to nearly pure aluminum

~$150 / 1000 sq ft roll...........on ebay cheaper & free shippin but
still about 13c per sq ft

but the good news is it appears to be flame resistant and properly
installed cold remain in place. Also would allow the use of faced
insulation since it is a vapor retarder.

cheers
