vintagelover had written this in response to

:
There isn't any grease or oil on it. I took it to a outdoor equipment
store. They the rubber was well worn.

I have an old (early 70s?) duo stage snowblower that I have
almost
restored. It has a Tecumseh 5 hp engine. I believe it is an
AMF Snow
King,
Model 5860-0010. It needs a new friction wheel. I don't have
the part no.
Does anyone know where I could possibly find one?

You sure it's an AMF?

You may not need a new wheel but only need to clean the friction
disk
and wheel rubber of grease and oil. It's usually a mess down
there.
If the rubber really is shot you may be able to replace or epoxy a
new
rubber tire on it. I know MTD carries them for old Yardman
snowblowers.See if they have one that fits.

A number of snowblower manufacturers use the variable speed friction
wheel
and disk for their transmissions -- were probably made by one company
or at
least only a few. Take yours into a couple of lawn equipment dealers
and see
if they can match it. They probably can come close enough.
