Default Heavy Metal, a Really Big Motorcycle

On Sat, 18 Oct 2008 01:18:24 -0700, the infamous pyotr filipivich
scrawled the following:

Okay, times are tough, gas is expensive, and you've thought about
getting a motorcycle.

But you want something with a little more "heft" than what is usually
found. Well, cheer up, here is something fro inspiration

Here's a nice fotograph. Just a couple of the boys out for a ride.

It's really quite a simple adaptation. You start with a war surplus
engine out of a T55 tank, and go from there. With a Sidecar, no
less. Took a year to get it all put together, but it ended up 4.7
tonnes (10,470 lb), 5.28 m (17 ft 4 in) long, and 2.29 m ( 7ft 6 in)
tall. "Dey make 'em Big in zee Old Country!"

Reportedly it will hit fifty mph. But wait till they get on the
autobahn and can open it up. Just don't be in front of it when it
comes time to stop ...

Oh yeah, I want one like it. Well, sort of like it.

How about the one Jesse James built on TeeVee a few years ago? It was
a diesel, too.

Or a radial engined bike?
