Have you tried measuring viscosity with and without? The stuff
doesn't reduce it as much as adding water but with most latex it
reduces it some if you add the recommended amount for spraying. To
get good results though you need to thin with both.

Even with a gravity fed gun, with a size 2 tip, it's not ideal.
A pressure pot, thinned with FloTrol works pretty good.
