I guess that's why DECKELS were invented... Wish I could afford one!

My machine is a small Japanese horizontal mill with box-section
dovetail overarm and a really rigid vertical head.

90% of the time the vertical head is in use, but when nothing else
will do the horizontal really shines, such as end drilling of long
pieces:-)), slotting, etc., and use as a lathe for turning large
sheaves and brake disks.

Also cylinder block boring is more conveniently done on a horizontal
mill, copying HBM practice.
