I do not like McCain, a lot more than I like Obama.

I'm on the flipflop of that. Obama worries me. I don't scare easy.
That isn't because I'm brave or anything; it's because I've been
scared ****less enough times to be somewhat fatalistic. That said,
Obama worries me. McCain does too, but Obama worries me rather more.

Dittoes, Don.

I'm not voting for McCain.

But I'll probably vote against Obama.

Ka-ching! Another voter decides to opt out of democracy and to let somebody
else decide.

You, Don and Larry may find Kristof's column today enlightening:

Love those t-shirts! bseg

Obama more church-active than McCain - scary.

We don't have a melting pot here any more. It's an uncooked
multicultural stew which is turning rancid on us.

Politics in this country is all about reinforcing those ugly
prejudices. It gets worse every year, as they hire more and more
costly advertisers who will stoop to anything, and then some, to get
their man elected.

I hate socialism, but I'm for a socialized funding system for our
election. All monies for each position are dumped into a single
account until 6 weeks before the election. At that time, all qualified
(according to electoral regs) candidates share an equal portion of
that money and can do with it as they will, as long as it's all either
spent--on this particular election alone--or returned to the coffers
for the next election. It can't be given away, shared with other
candidates, or kept. (War chests breed more crime and help to elect
less qualified people.)

This would limit the time these arseholes (I love politicians, don't
you?) could attempt to bribe us or continually assault us with their
bullsh*t (like these last 4 fracking years) and, hopefully, reduce
bribes _to_ them. Brits and Canucks seem to do it right.

P.S: My vote is still going to the lesser of two weevils, McCain. And
my local Libertarians may get the nod when they step up.
