Default "green" (sustainable - not wet) wood

Talk to the local city or county tree cutting team - might need to
talk to a county commissioner for aid. They prune and cut trees
out of parks and streets and it goes to the landfill to grind up into
wood chips.

There might be a way to make pickups at the landfill / grinder.

Does anyone know of any sources for wood that is either recycled or
from sustainable sources? I may be making a product that requires this
type of wood. Are the North American hardwoods considered sustainable?
Are any of the exotics farmed?
