Any such broadcasting of that choice of inflammatory wording would be
condemned by all kinds of people. This is not Political Correctness, the
wording is blatantly insulting and denigrating to all kinds of fellow
Americans. Mr Rooney is a fine and civilized person plus he is a noted
journalist and wordsmith. It is not conceivable it would ever cross his
mind to write and publicly speak such BS worded statements. His long
history of as a journalist and wordsmith would have prevented it.
Besides, Andy would have been very publicly fired, and cable news shows
would have gone on for weeks. And 60 minutes (and CBS) would have been
humiliated.

I agree with salty's reply to this posting thread. Read the denial that
the quote posted attributed to Andy Rooney was never broadcast.
