Could you make a 'surround' (Assuming the newer switch plate etc. is
smaller? Or has different ratio of height to width etc.) of nice
material that would either match or contrast nicely with the wall
colour etc. A 'Trim plate' if you wish to call it that? A bit of
experimenting with cardboard and a sharp (X.Acto knife.) could help
decide suitable and good looking dimensions?
