The dimmable ones I saw also claimed 0.9 power factor. So the
front-end isn't the conventional diode+filter cap, it must be a
PFC-type tracking boost converter. There's probably a bridge
rectifier, inductor, boost converter fet, diode, cap, and a smart IC
in the front end.


** Hardly compatible with a variable, chopped sine wave input that rises to
340 volts in 1 uS.
