I too am going to back Ed on this one.
There was a period where I had no choice but V.A. medical care.
You want to know what socialized medicine is like?
Ask the vets.

My experience really sucked.
LONG delays getting any thing done.
No accountability.

No way to get a bad diagnosis changed.

It sucks folks.
