I too had used AutoCad and was trying to make things much
harder than they really are. While CAD knowledge will help
in the learning process, forget what you know about your
current CAD program and find some tutorials.
Is there an array command with Sketchup?
Agreed on forgetting what you know about the typical CAD
program with learning Sketchup, I was referring more to how
you would use lay out lines as references, general drawing
short cuts and procedures 'n stuff.
Yes and no. Use the move command, toggle copy on and off by
hitting the Ctrl key. After the move type in 10x if you want
10 copies total.
So, in the correct order:
Select what you want to copy
Hit the "M" key to switch to "move" mode
Hit the "Ctrl" key to toggle to "copy" mode (+ symbol shows)
Move the object to it's destination
Type in 10x (or whatever # of copies you desire)
