What about the driver's seat? Can you move that?

It does mean that you have to be a bit more careful to avoid feet being
caught in the glovebox, however.


An hour with a socket in the securing bolt (no room for the ratchet)
and turning it with adjustables got the seat out. The culprit was a
small piece of glass trapped in the runner.

So that's the solution. When you want to bring a bolt and nut
together, always use a washer...
