Why not just post the url's instead of what they start with?

Because they change over time, but these articles stay around
forever, thanks to Google's continuation of dejanews's archives.

Once or twice a year, Steve shuffles older things off to
sections labeled by year, so a full URL won't work forever. The partial
gets you there, and then you can hunt back to the articles from the year
that the article was posted.

Just bring up the pages and cut and paste the url's into post.

You should have wrapped the text in the .txt file so that it
can be read without having to drag the horizontal scroll bar
or saving the text in a file.

Amen. Of course, a lot of editors don't let you know that they
are keeping the text as one long line per paragraph, and depending on th
editor to wrap it on your screen when you go back to do something with
it.

A programming editor is more likely to do things properly, but
things like Word and other word-processing programs have a different
task in mind, and don't bother folding the text for you -- except on
your screen.

With Firefox, what I see is
about 7 lines of text; 3 of them are longer than one screen-
width. I don't know of an easy way to see the text in a
browser in a wrapped format.

Other than if it was properly wrapped before being sent. :-)
