If anyone reads the IET's Engineering & Technology magazine, in the
current issue is an article "Electrical industry fights fakes".

It has a picture of counterfeit and genuine MCB's side by side with the
covers removed.

The fake has literally just a crude switch inside it. No current
sensing or fusing. Unless you opened it up or tested it with an
overcurrent, you would never know (until it failed to trip when
necessary and your wiring melted).

****. The ****s responsible for that should be taken out and beaten to
within an inch of their lives. Or kneecapped. Kneecapped would be good.

Wouldn't electrocution be more appropriate....

"Now, Mr. faker, you will feel a brief shock, but this will only last
unti your RCD trips..."

I like that one... :-)

I'd be surprised if anyone who uses the MG product would be taken in (the
real ones are quite heavy), but that wouldn't stop some unscrupulous fit
+run cowboy from using them.
