So, did you blow the tranny by pulling too heavy a load for the
vehicle, and doing that too many times? Overheat the A/T?
Could be. My mechanic told me the differential 'disassembled itself' so
I suspect it was most likely wear just north of the axles.
He didn't say there was anything particularly wrong between the torque converter and the
differential, so I *assume* that bit survived.
