We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the
drugs began to take hold. I remember Old Codger
saying something like:

Captain Watson has been fighting the Canadian seal slaughter all his
life. It was shut down in 1984 and resurrected in 1994.

I still don't see any reduction in the price of seal meat.
