Not really sure what type of carpet is is, I know it dont look like
the indoor out door type carpet you see on a porch.
it had a somewhat deeper nap that outdoor carpet.

Why remove the carpet unless it is a high pile, sculptured weave? I have
a tight weave indoor-outdoor carpet on the floor of my shop. It is more
than 15 years old and still as good as new. It vacuums easily and is
much better than standing on a bare concrete slab.
