And, after a quick Google, union plants are 14% more productive than non-union
plants. Hmmm, can you do the math? In order for unions to join the
Twenty-First Century, they are going to have to deal with globalization, world
wage levels and partnering with manufacturers rather than hobbling them. Just
look at the auto industry, Toyota is kicking GMs ass and SOME of that problem is
unions. Unions in their present form are not working. (and neither are their
members)
