They MAY be the most reliable, though.

When my Sears softener died, I rented one from Culligan. I soon BOUGHT the
installed rental unit.

That was back in our old house. We took the unit to our new house in 1991.

It hasn't missed a beat since.

Anecdotal? Perhaps, but I'd buy this same model again in an instant.
