Hi,

I have an Insignia TV/DVD model TVDVD20A in my
service shop (no SM).

The set will turn on, but when you try to change the
volume, channel, etc. It turns off. It won't play a DVD,
because I can't get it to switch from TV to DVD (turns
off).

Has anyone had a similar experience?

Thanks in advance, Brad

Before you type your password, credit card number, etc.,
be sure there is no active keystroke logger (spyware) in your PC.

Check to make sure none of the wires to the front panel are open or
shorted, these sorts of faults in multiplexed wiring can cause very
strange behavior like this.

Sounds a bit like one of the modern 'nonsense' faults that you get, when the
data in the EEPROM is corrupt.
