Off topic, but I was in Walmart one day, and I usually try to avoid
the place.
As I was walking in I noticed how many TV cameras they had on the top
of the building. Probably at least 20. I also noticed all the cameras
inside.
Probably add another 100. I think Wal-Mart has more cameras than
Vegas casinos!

I doubt that. I knew an EE who designed the first TV surveillance
system for a Vegas casino. They spent almost a year installing that
system. He died a few years ago, so i can't get an exact number, but
there was a decent sized room full of racks of monitors, and people to
watch them all.

Do you think every one of those cameras at that Wal-Mart are real?
The ones in casinos are. Not only do they track their customers, but
their employees. There isn't one spot inside a casino where they can't
see what you are doing.

I'll bet someone might have something to say about cameras in the
restrooms.

How do you know that there are no cameras in the restrooms? There
are pinhole cameras that can peek between a pipe and the trim ring. If
anyone is gambling away from their profit areas they will put a stop to
it.

Only takes one person who discovers those cameras to file a lawsuit and stir
up some major problems for any casino who tried it. The loss of business
would far outweigh anything they could gain by it.

Still I've always wondered how anyone can stand to be in a casino in the
first place, I hate the feeling of eyes on my every move, guilty until
proven innocent. There's a lot of more fun ways to throw away money.
