Where did you get the longer bolts? Are they metric?
How stable does it feel when turning?

I was in the States yesterday and went to Lowes..
I WAS planning to just buy 6 bolts but I was smart for once and brought along
one of the nuts from the factory set..
It was metric and the US ones were 1/2 - 13, so I splurged and bought 6 nuts for
28 cents apiece.

Not sure why metric would make a difference though, Gerald?
They're all through bolts, except for the 2 "optional" ones into the bottom of
the head stock..

I haven't noticed any stability issues yet but haven't used it a lot.. could
there be a problem with this?

BTW: I got the 2 bowls in the mail today.. very cool wood..

Thanks!

You're welcome. Did the Acorn box survive the trip? It's not for you,
it is for your wife to keep her loose diamonds in.

I notice you have a "dish" on your headstock. I have a rectangular
plastic box velcro'd to mine to keep a pencil and other small items
in. My Delta had a box built in on top and that spoiled me.

Why does ravel and unravel mean the
same thing?
