It reminds me of some of the mindless drones that come to the front door
- they don't really care if they convert you or not, they are simply
required to make a given number of stops in order to earn their way into
heaven. They always make a careful note of my address, so they can prove
to the elders that their duty has been met.

So why do you respond to them?

When they come to my door, I respond with a garden hose. Typically,
they move on pretty quick.
