I see their cheapest Laptop comes with Ubuntu installed as the OS.

I wonder how many people have bought one of these on price alone without
realising what they were getting.

If they've gone via the dmxdimension site then that may indeed happen!

However to get Ubuntu on a PC from the Dell site itself requires some
digging - it doesn't even appear in the 'OS choice' list. I wish they
would promote it a bit more however I do concede that for many it
would be unsuitable and indeed verging on potential disappointment!
