We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the
drugs began to take hold. I remember Dave
saying something like:

When I power up the DVD re-recorder, it swamps
the TV with the signal that is coming from the digi box. They are all
scart connected.

If you disable pin 8 in the SCART lead it will prevent the appliance
from switching the TV over to that input.
