Default RCA TV - Whites have yellow tint after spontaneous power cycle

I have an 32" RCA TV (F3267SB CTC187CL3) . It's one of the ones that
had the tuner problem but that's not the issue now. Last night while
watching it seemed to turn itself off, then back on instantly. There
may have been an audible pop but it happened so fast that I can't be
sure it was really a pop or just the volume cutting out and back on.
The picture returned immediately, with the only sure sign it went off
at all was that the on screen channel display came on. Since then
whites have had yellow, maybe slightly green, tint to them. Some
whites seem more affected than others. While watching hockey the ice
seemed pretty white but the players with black jerseys had a hazy
trail of yellow tinted ice following them.

It's at least 10 years old and it's probably time to spring for a
fancy new HD LCD set but it's Xmas time and funds are a bit tight.
Any thoughts on what the problem might be and whether it's worth
repairing?

Thanks in advance.

Degause ! Several on, long off, cycles or a manual degausing coil ?
