Right. I have deodorized a number of tanks this way, including a
100#er. No trace of odor afterwards. Bob


I did my 625 gallon tank the same way, except that I used about 5
gallons of straight bleach in it.
I let it sit for a couple of days then craned up one end and drilled
the hole for the condensate drain
fitting and tapped it. I flushed out the bleach with a couple of
hundred gallons of fresh water. A day
or two later and no smell at all.

Could have done it faster if I had access to the hypochlorate we use
at work...7% by volume and
that's after we dilute it down....
