Looks like an interesting toy - with which to bust a few bones.
Expensive for what it is though!

I'm sure it would be easier & cheaper to build than a kart.

reminds me of the "trailer mounted" engine for a bicycle. i can't
remember what it's called. it's like a trailer you put on a bicycle that
has an engine on it and it powers your bicycle, you control it via a cable
and throttle on the bicycle handlebar. i thought it was a neat idea,
would be fun to build.
