Default Replacement Atlas Lathe Gears (group buy.... )

part of the compound gears (16DP by 16 teeth) so that exact sizes
needed can be parted off and machined thus minimizing extra machining.
others like the 20dp 20t gears would be ordered as .375 face width and
a .5 inch bore and could be machined/ ground to final fit. Bushings
would be made from standard sintered bronze stock and can be made to
original spec, or adapted to your liking.


I would like to hear peoples interest in doing a group buy (since i
can get things somewhat cheaper in quantity through my local bearing
house).
I havent figured out pricing at the moment but seeing as most of the
labor in finished machining can be done on the lathe you are trying to
repair we shoudl be able to save some cost considering clausing
wants an average of $85 for each of the compound gear assemblies.

lol, im afraid its more cost prohibitive and probably not worth the
effort but its a nice idea i suppose. i believe the standard chage
egars are ok for the 40 and 48 tooth gears on the yoke but the others
are going to be custom.
