Default Lathe value... I know I'm going to regret asking this.

Isn't Macalester in Minnesota? If there isn't any rust, then that setup
should bring something like $1200-1800. Note that you may well return
yourself more money if you sell the base lathe and then sell each
attachment separately. That's a complete turnkey except for the 3-phase
motor. Lots of guys won't touch a 3ph machine.

We have an old lathe we're going to sell. Campus Purchasing likes to
offer things like this to employees first through a sealed bid. The
money goes back into our department's account. Therefore, we have a
vested interest in getting a decent price. We can set a minimum
acceptable bid though. It seems in good shape except the cone pulley's
surfaces are getting polished. Anyway here's what we have, and I'd
like to get an idea what it's worth.

Yes, Macalester College is in st Paul Minnesota.

It is totally rust free and is still being used.

I thought about splitting the accessories off for that very reason. But, since South
Bend is gone, and LaBlonde is probably charging big bucks for any SB parts and
accessories, I thought whoever got the lathe, should get it loaded with everything.

Thanks for the input.
