As I mentioned to Mekon, my friend has one and it's very cool..

He bought an old home here in Baja and expanded/remodeled it... lots of nooks
and crannys later and one on the front of the house that used to be a porch but
is now part of the great room..
It's an "alcove" about 3 x 10' and he was going to make a built-in entertainment
center but decided it would be awkward... better to have the E.C. come out flush
with the walls, so he put hinges on one side and small castors on the other and
made the shelves double-faced..
Makes a cool little "secret chamber" and triples his shelf space...
