Hmm, seems superfluous. The bugs that hit my windshield die pretty
readily w/o pesticides.

I know this discussion has drifted away from the OPs original query, and
that's fine, but has anyone forgotten that he never put any kind of
rain-x on his car? He bought it used, and has no idea at all why the
windshield is splotchy.
