Damn. That sounded so good, until I checked the domain and found that
it doesn't belong to the National Geographic Society.

ngs.org is indeed registered by National Geographic Society, and the
street address given by the OP matches. It is not a scam.

Argh. You're correct. I goofed and looked up ngs.com instead of
ngs.org. I'm still suspicious, but the email address is correct.

My appologies for the misinformation.

Hmmm... digging a bit deeper, after downloading a Java applet, the
URL:
http://web.ngs.org
is "Welcome to Secure Web Services for NGS Staff".

Looks like this message has also appeared recently on several
Craigslist locations.

Some of these mention Peter Rees, the producer of Mythbusters and a
National Geographic series producer.

Seems to fit, but the variations in job title is rather unusual.

There's one reference to "World's Toughest Fixes" at:
http://www.google.com/search?q=%22world%27s+toughest+fixes%22
which kinda looks like an accidental leak. Dunno.

So, do I drop everything and clean up my resume?
