i got another problem with 2430A , its got this DALLAS memory+battery
chip (U350 if i recall) , and of course the battery is dead .
the CAL data can't be saved , and you can't find those chips anymore .
If it's a typical "chunky" device like the DS1287, then internally it's
a small PCB with two Dallas chips on it (one sram, one battery backup
controller). On top of the PCB is a regular PCB mount 3V lithium cell.
So it is possible to carve the device open (in from the top side) and
fit a new cell.
