Default tung oil

I think you probably are thinking of linseed oil. It has a unique smell.
It's the basis of Watco Danish Oil, so if you've ever smelled that you'll
recognize it.

Most tung oil finishes I've used pretty much smell like any other wiping
varnish - ie, mostly a paint thinner/solvent sort of smell...

Which "Tung Oil" finishes are you aware of that don't contain Tung oil?? I
read the same thing in Flexner's book also.
