Default The Sporge

On Tue, 14 Aug 2007 00:37:27 -0700, with neither quill nor qualm, "Tom
Gardner" quickly quoth:

cavelamb himself writes:

Last night was a real nightmare.

And a lot of guys who are not able to fix their servers are really
getting shafted.

Especially the dial-up guys.

On rec.arts.sf.written (another newsgroup I follow, which is being hit
much more heavily than this one), one of the regulars lamented the
fact that it's still illegal to shoot assholes like the one
responsible for this on sight.

I responded that it's getting harder and harder to find a jury willing
to convict.

If you get arrested for a shooting, you're doing it wrong! There are plenty
of ways to propel a projectile noiselessly and leave no traceable evidence.
Don't think of it as a shooting, think of it as an engineering challenge.

Having just reread John Ross' _Unintended Consequences_, I
rediscovered several more ways to quickly remove vermin. I
particularly liked the 'poke a chopstick through the eye socket into
the brain and stir' method and feel it should be used for spammers and
DOS initiators.
