A gee-whiz loose dowling machine called the Bomino that uses round
bamboo loose dowels (that word _does_ begin with a 'd', btw.) The
design permits use of both purpose-made dowels and/or broken
chopsticks...

(Sorry, I'm an American woodworker - but I couldn't resist!)

I believe you're referring to Fussytool's BAMBINO.

A South American tool manufacturer is working on a knock
off of the BAMBINO. Rumor has it that is will use reddish
brown cockaroach shaped proprietary loose tenons and the
Marketing Department is rumored to be seriously considering
calling it the CARRAMBA after CoocaRahcha was poorly recieved
by several focus groups. Prototypes have been provided
to a select group of woodworkers, in Tierra Del Fuego as well
as Greenland for Beta testing.

Woodworking tools specialists from Fine WoodWorking and
Popular Woodworking will begin sleuthing out some of the
top secret stuff about this new tool - as soon as they
complete their current assignment - "Bronze. Wooden
Tools Obsolete?".

Festool has a sliding miter saw that has its rails in the front of the
saw instead of the rear like they all have now- sort of like a radial
arm saw. Now if they could make it take a dado blade set that would
be awesome!!!!!
