Default Bad TRS- jack on computer amplifier

Have the jack replaced, and it should be good.

You will have to identify the part, and order it from any of the major
electronics parts suppliers. You will then need the tools and skill to
replace the jack.

The other alternative is to give the unit to any local electronics
service center, and let them do the job.

I have a small type TRS stereo jack (phone jack) for my Monsoon amplifier
that goes to the computer. One of the speakers is dead if it's plugged in
all the way into the subwoofer/amp. If I pull it out a bit to the first
"stop" sometimes both speakers will work, but it's spotty.

Why do these jacks tend to go bad (I've probably bumped it with my foot to
often)? Can it be fixed or should I just get a new plug and jack?
