The finish is water based poly with TransTints Red Mahogany.

I agree on the look of legs, I had intended to taper 3 sides - leaving the
outside (front) face straight - but screwed up the 4th leg and had to cut
all four to match. Just don't tell anyone...

Detail shots. The legs are fixed to the side apron, the front is anchor
bolted to the leg. The top is lag bolted down with slotted holes for
expansion. I filled all the knots in the top and sanded it smooth, but
the knots in the legs are left open (stabilized with gorilla glue).
