Default The Next to the Next Off The Wall Project

Ahhh, thank you Charlie. I think I am about to bite the bullet on the
Domino today and get the whole smear. I am debating over he CT22 and the
CT33. Nailshooter and Robatoy got quite a chuckle from my post questioning
you about your thoughts so far on the Domino. I refuse to pull the old
Craftsman shop vacuum down and turn it on again. Like you said, you needed
hearing protection and to be standing in the next room to be able to
tolerate the noise.

The CT22 was my choice for the following reasons
- the smaller one doesn't handle stacked Systainers very well
- its footprint is small enough to get it around the shop - without
having to move anything (I have a tendency to "temporarily" lean
things against other things. I recently found the mahogany board
I've been looking for the last few days - behind two layers of
"lean
againsts".
- I don't need the whistles and bells on the largest one
- I can stack a couple of systainers on the CT22 and not have
them stick up above my bench top

Don't know if this feature is on the Fein - but the Festool CT22
has a little green handle on the back of it. Pull it and what's
on the other end of it - inside the DE (dust extractor) "brrrrrips"
over the underside of the pleated HEPA filters, knocking off the
dust caked on the filter. Now common in "cannister"full sized
dust collectors - having it on this smaller unit was a thoughtful
thing for the designers to do.
