Yeah, and most compound miter saws won't touch a 6 x 10, either!

Look in the bottom left corner of picture 1 - it's a 13" Makita circular
saw. Kind of pushes the limits of what can be considered a portable tool!
I can get most of the way through the timber with that, then finish with a
handsaw. Then it gets cleaned up to the lines with a chisel and hand
plane.
