But I have seen that before, that is, smaller engine, worse mileage.
I think that was the case with the GM 4.8 vs 5.3 iron block when I was
truck shopping. There doing some tricks with valve timing and
cylinder management these days, that may cause that to be the case.


That and more of the engines are all aluminum vs having an iron block and or
heads.
