Can anyone recommend some sources (other than eBay) for parts for my
ShopSmith Model 10-ER?
Thanks!
I believe there's a Shopsmith users group on Yahoo. They have (or had -
it's been a while) a subgroup dedicated to the 10ER. There also used to be
a hardware store in California that specialized in refurbishing the
headstock. I think it was called Barrett's hardware. Then, there is a
machinist in Nampa, Idaho, who makes handles, way-clamp upgrades, etc. Give
"Shopsmith" to the Google engine and these things should pop up.
There is one happy note. A chuck, spur or arbor that attaches to the
spindle (quill) of a modern Shopsmith will attach to the spindle of the
10ER. They both have the flattened cylinder.
Good Luck.
